About Time for Three
Describing themselves as "a classically trained garage band," Time for Three are a trio who blur the lines between pop, jazz, classical, Americana, hip-hop, and experimental music with imagination and style. A string ensemble, Time for Three play acoustic music that rose from the disciplines of classical music, but their eclectic sound makes room for a variety of styles and collaborations with artists such as singer/songwriter Joshua Radin, indie folk duo Lily & Madeleine, and jazz saxophonist Branford Marsalis, all of whom appeared on their self-titled 2014 LP. They also scored Robin Wright's 2021 film Land, and teamed with vocalist Joyce DiDonato for 2026's Emily - No Prisoners Be, adapted from the poems of Emily Dickinson.
Members of Time for Three include, or have included, Charles Yang.
