Artist Biography
Laidback Luke released his first 12" in 1995 and quickly became a recognized name in the techno and house scenes. Following his 2002 album Electronic Satisfaction, his style shifted to a more electro-house sound. He collaborated with Steve Angello, as well as with Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell, for the 2007 hit "Get Dumb." As the electronic dance scene in America grew at the end of the noughties, the mix of electro-house, dubstep, and trance that had taken hold of Europe exploded as EDM. Collaborations with Steve Aoki, Diplo, and Example in 2011 firmly put his name on the map. Although his own releases slowed after 2011, his remix work continued through Madonna, Depeche Mode, Robin Thicke, and Tiësto. ~ Rich Wilson
