About Salvarez
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
7th grade, Lipman Middle School. Months after Michael Jackson passed, I did a tribute at our talent show, my first time on stage. I walked up the shy kid and walked off with a purpose. Kids screamed for 5 minutes. The principal couldn't stop them.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Bad Bunny, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS
Drake, Thank Me Later
Michael Jackson, Thriller
Bad Bunny, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS: his roots, made new. Same thing I'm doing with Niño Índigo. Drake, Thank Me Later: the blog era that showed me I could rap and sing. Michael Jackson, Thriller: the standard I hold every live show to.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Performing at Brick & Mortar Music Hall in 2023. Playing a stage like that in my own city, in front of people from the Bay who knew me before the music, felt like the moment it all became real.
