About Bag Raiders
Bag Raiders are one of Australia’s most consistently melodic purveyors of electronic music. Formed in Sydney in 2006 by producers, vocalists, and multi-instrumentalists Chris Stracey and Jack Glass, the duo achieved their first major breakthrough with 2008’s “Shooting Stars.” That brightly funky bit of dance-pop catnip has since achieved gold and platinum sales in multiple countries, thanks to later soundtracking both a popular reality-TV audition and an enduring global meme. Bag Raiders further bolstered their reputation by remixing Aussie peers like Cut Copy and Midnight Juggernauts, before relocating to LA and curating diverse guest turns from Panama and The Kite String Tangle for 2019’s Horizons. The pair’s longtime streak for crafting sterling vocal hooks continued with 2022’s skittering, romantically euphoric “UR Heart”—the first release on their own Broken Head imprint—and 2023’s “Love Me Back,” pitching up a Meg Mac sample to build momentum for a surging rave track.
