Artist Biography
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
When my parents had rehearsal in the living room with their band. I remember I used to go when I was like super small, like 5 years or something, and my dad would give me maracas or any small percussion instrument to jam with them. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Celia Cruz, Johnny Pacheco, Celia & Johnny
Michael Jackson, Thriller
Tony Perez, Tony Perez from Enchantment and Timba to Full Force Jazz
Thriller is a MUST, the best album of all time period =) I'm a huge MJ fan. Tony Perez, when i was studying in the University , i really loved to listen to this album to practice :) Celia & Johnny, i named my album with my mom inspired by this album! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Sin Fronteras (feat. Haila)”
This song is super special because it has a super nice message, that there is no barriers, and it's also a song to empower woman. It has three power house voices, la india, Haila and my mom :) and its also super fun to play live! it's a jam! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Being able to work with Bruce Swedien was amazing. He was Michael Jackson's co-producer and mixing engineer, when i went to his studio I was able to check out all of the master tapes of all his greatest hits! it was amazing to be with such a legend! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Too many things in my bucket list. I want to keep traveling the world and performing for people. Making them happy.. and also collaborating with icons that I truly admire!
