Artist Biography
Latin rock band from Madero Tamaulipas Aquelarre was formed in 1988. At the beginning the process to get musicians working along wasn't easy. Singer Javier de Leija, drummer Ricardo Martínez, bassist Gerardo Villalón, guitarrist Alonso Martínez and drummer Ramiro Martínez were able to establish Aquelarre's line up before recording its second album called Manipulación Total followed by Un Motivo Más. In 1995 Alonso Martínez decided to leave the band. By that time guitarrists Edgar de León and Martín Castillo joined in. Una Sociedad sin Alma was released after getting a deal with an independent label called Discos Suicidas. While the band was in the recording process Gerardo Villalón and Martín Castillo left, being replaced by Eduardo Chávez and Ivan. ~ Drago Bonacich
