Tampa, Florida-based country singer, songwriter, and guitarist Will Quinlan led the bands Pagan Saints and Murder Creek before forming the Diviners (Karen Collins on bass; Steve Connelly on lead guitar; Sean Doyle, Jimmy Rice, and Jeremy Rowland on drums; Francis French III, Rebekah Pulley, and Soraya Zaumeyer on harmony vocals; Johnny McCarthy on bass; and Randy Pavlik on mandolin), who backed him on their debut album, Navasota, a eulogy to Quinlan's mother, released by Ironweed Music on June 25, 2008. ~ William Ruhlmann
