About The Becoming
The members of goth-rock-emo mish-mashers The Becoming are somewhat cryptic about themselves. They are, in their own words, “fully formed and ready to remind us why we love rock and roll.... delivered to rescue us from our hyphenated-rock-doldrums….” And indeed, frontman Dustin Lowry, drummer Caleb Spicer, bassist Kory Arcidino and keyboardist Justin Carpenter emerged suddenly from within the Nashville scene with both a sound and style equally influenced by the likes of Depeche Mode and Good Charlotte. In 2008, they released their debut LP, VOL. 1, on veteran punk label Tooth & Nail.
