In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. A house party after Fèis Spè in the early 90's. Hearing people singing and playing folk music. I was so desperate to join in and be part of the music making. That was the moment that led me to playing, performing and eventually writing music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? John Martyn, Solid Air Loudon Wainwright III, So Damn Happy (Live) Richard Thompson, Mock Tudor Three of the many albums that helped me form my songwriting and performance style. I couldn't find Boo Hewerdine's "A Live One" or Rab Noakes's "Standing Up" which, along with anything by Charlie Dore, I'd encourage any songwriter to devour.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Call Me If You Need Me” A rare emotional and personal song from me. Written (and revealed) using Laura Veirs's "Creativity Cards". I wrote this little gem by accident. It's paved the way for me to explore a more personal touch in all my writing. Thank you Laura Veirs!
