About Caravan Palace
Artist Biography
A self-described "électro-swing" group from Paris, Caravan Palace made their debut in 2008. With instrumentation encompassing vocals, electronics, strings, woodwinds, brass, guitar, bass, and percussion, the group was chiefly inspired by Django Reinhardt but also cites Vitalic, Cab Calloway, Justice, Lionel Hampton, and Daft Punk among their influences. They made their self-titled debut on the French independent label Wagram Music. The EP Clash arrived in 2011, followed by the 2012 long-player Panic. Their third full-length album, Robot -- stylized <I°_°I> -- was released in 2015. - Jason Birchmeier & Marcy Donelson
