Artist Biography
Flutist Alexis Kossenko has performed widely with Baroque music ensembles and is the founder of the group Les Ambassadeurs. He plays a wide range of historical flutes, plus the recorder, and he is also active as a conductor. Among the ensembles with which he has performed are Le Concert d'Astrée and Le Concert Spirituel. As a conductor, he has led such ensembles as B'Rock and Arte dei Suonatori. Kossenko has played chamber works with keyboardist Richard Egarr and pianist Leif Ove Andsnes, among others. With Les Ambassadeurs, he released the album Vivaldi: Concerti per l'Orchestra di Dresda in 2013. In 2021, he was heard on a recording of the Symphonies Concertantes of Antoine Reicha with Gli Angeli Genève.
