Often referred to as the "heaviest band in the universe," England's Electric Wizard have consistently redefined the preconceived thresholds of a detuned guitar chord with their peerless doom/stoner metal achievements -- this despite an often interpersonally troubled if musically triumphant, career. The sludgy occult rockers have released nine full-length albums since emerging in 1993, including the seminal doom efforts Come My Fanatics… (1997) and Dopethrone (2000), with a tenth (and final) long-player on the way in 2025.
