Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Legendary Stardust Cowboy performing on the Smothers Brothers.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Brian Eno, Robert Fripp, No Pussyfooting Swans, Children of God/World of Skin This Heat, This Heat Pivotal experimental albums that creep around in the back of my head.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “G9/11sus(b2)/F” It's a sprawling track that bridges the gap between Chord live and recorded Chord pieces. And it's also special because it's the first Chord piece that technically has a chord change. A very slow chord change, but a chord change nonetheless.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? First trip to New York to headline a Red Cross benefit. Word spread from there and it eventually lead to making the first album. It's also when we shifted gears from a loose collective to a group.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We are always searching for transcendent moments. Always trying to find a more perfect moment where "chord" is achieved –– space occupied by a pure one undefinable, non-dissectible thing.
