Los Fabulosos Cadillacs are a Latin rock band from Argentina known for incorporating such genres as ska, salsa, and punk into their music.
∙ In 1994, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs received an MTV Latino Video Music Award for their signature song, the upbeat, danceable “Matador.”
∙ Talking Heads members Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth coproduced 1995’s Rey Azúcar, which also featured guests Mick Jones (The Clash) and Debbie Harry (Blondie).
∙ Their 1997 album, Fabulosos Calavera, won the first-ever Best Latin Rock/Alternative Performance Grammy Award.
∙ La Luz del Ritmo debuted at No. 8 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums chart in 2008.
∙ Nominated for four Latin Grammy Awards, the band’s 2016 rock opera, La Salvación de Solo y Juan, won Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song (“La Tormenta”).
