For more than two decades, pop-rock singer and multi-instrumentalist Julieta Venegas has found global success with her award-winning blend of Latin pop and alt-rock songwriting.
∙ She debuted in 1997 with the accordion-meets-alternative music hit “De Mis Pasos,” which was named one of VH1’s 100 Greatest Songs of the ’90s in Spanish.
∙ As a rising star, Venegas contributed a stylish revamp of José José’s 1970 smash “El Triste” to Un Tributo, a 1998 album honoring the Latin pop icon.
∙ Her 2003 album, Sí, earned her a Latin Grammy win (Best Rock Solo Vocal Album) and three MTV Latin America Video Music Awards, including Artist of the Year.
