About The Bastard Sons of Dioniso
Artist Biography
The Bastard Sons of Dioniso are an Italian alternative rock band that rose to fame on the television reality show X Factor in 2008. A year later the band topped the Italian singles chart with its smash hit single "L'Amor Carnale." Founded in 2003 in Trento, Italy, the band is comprised of Jacopo Broseghini (vocals, bass; born on December 23, 1986, in Trento), Federico Sassudelli (vocals, drums; born on February 7, 1986, in Trento), and Michele Vicentini (vocals, guitar; born on October 10, 1986, in Trento). Prior to their appearance on X Factor in 2008, the Bastard Sons of Dioniso released two albums, Great T**s Heat! (2006) and Even Lemmy Sometimes Sleeps (2007), on Gulliver Records. The band's appearance on X Factor in 2008 was pivotal. They finished in second place behind first-place winner Matteo Becucci and were awarded a major-label recording contract with Sony Music. The Bastard Sons of Dioniso made their major-label debut in 2009 with the Top Five hit single "Contessa." The chart-topping smash hit L'Amor Carnale followed shortly thereafter, along with an accompanying six-track EP that itself was a Top Five hit. ~ Jason Birchmeier
