About Golden Shoulders
A long-tenured band from Nevada City, California, Golden Shoulders are known for their freewheeling mix of scrappy indie rock, power pop, and folk as well as a constantly fluctuating lineup which centers around the melodic songwriting of leader Adam Kline. Since making their debut in 2002, the band has reliably returned every few years to release a new EP or album with a slightly or sometimes completely altered personnel. Over the years, Kline has maintained a steady live presence as well, playing throughout California and touring various versions of Golden Shoulders, often in unplugged form. They have likewise recorded for a variety of small labels, though later releases like 2016's Music Romans EP and the 2019 album Could This Be the End appeared on their own Golden Shoulders imprint.
