Artist Biography
After the dissolution of the industrial trio Ethyl Meatplow in late 1993, Los Angeleno singer and songwriter Carla Bozulich managed to carve out a distinctive artistic identity with The Geraldine Fibbers whose subdued (if hard-bitten and disillusioned) alt-country was very much at odds with the abrasive aspect of her previous outfit. Her debut solo release was an idiosyncratic, song-for- song cover of Willie Nelson’s career-making RED HEADED STRANGER that effectively set the tone for subsequent solo albums like I’M GONNA STOP KILLING and EVANGELISTA.
