Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
The first time I heard Haddaway’s “What Is Love” on the spaceship ride at Sports Park USA in Piscataway NJ ~1992. The vocal hook blew my 8-year-old mind moving up and down in the amusement park dark.

“Overture" begins with a voice message I received from a detective who had the unfortunate task of informing me of my father’s passing. I wanted to open with this raw artifact of bad news to capture that precise moment when truly, everything changes.
