About Pearson Sound
Artist Biography
Pearson Sound is the main alias of David Kennedy, a London-based producer, DJ, and mix engineer at the forefront of experimental bass music and U.K. soundsystem culture. Along with Ben UFO and Pangaea, he is one of the three founders of the highly influential, cutting-edge label Hessle Audio. First producing dubstep as Ramadanman during the 2000s, Kennedy gradually incorporated garage, techno, and footwork influences into his sound, and released the mix Fabriclive 56 (credited to both Ramadanman and Pearson Sound) in 2011. He continued exploring a bass-heavy experimental style with releases like the 2015 full-length Pearson Sound and left-field club hits like 2022's Red Sky EP.
