About Charlie Cruz
Charlie Cruz is a salsa singer born in Puerto Rico; he spent his adolescence in New Jersey singing in his father's band. He returned to Puerto Rico in 1996 and joined Domingo Quiñones' collective. Cruz released his debut, La Magia Del Amor, in 1997. Imagínate, produced and arranged by Sergio George, was released in 1999, followed by Asi Soy in 2000 -- it went Top Five on the Tropical Albums chart. 2001's Chico Malo and 2003's Ven A Mi also charted, as did 2004's Como Nunca and 2006's Más De Mi. He recorded 2008's Dinámico for Norte. Following 2013's Huellas (which was nominated for a Lo Nuestro Award), he issued Tu Con El in 2018. He returned with the Latin Grammy-nominated Tentaciones, Vol. 1 in 2020. Tentaciones, Vol. 2 appeared in 2022 and Recordar Es Vivir in 2023. Invicto was released in May 2026. ~ Thom Jurek
