Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was six years old, my 12-year-old brother was in a lip sync contest with some friends, and they chose to do "Fight for Your Right to Party" from the Beastie Boys. He pushed me to do the guitar solo on a giant wiffle bat. We got 1st place.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Radiohead, Kid A Slint, Spiderland (Remastered) The Pharcyde, Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde I can't ever name just 3 but: Kid A was a band taking an amazing new direction & reaching somewhere bold and incredible. Spiderland moved me so much upon hearing that I felt consumed. The Pharcyde. . .great rapping, emotions, fun, singing, beats, joy
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Re-Introductions Aren't Necessary but F**k It” This song set off a particular era for me and became a quick all-encompassing way of showing people what I do. There's multi-syllabic rhyme schemes, poetic displays of emotion, odd time signatures flipped from funky beats, and humor.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the more recent ones is when we celebrated the 10-year anniversary of Indie Rappers Do It for Gas Money 2. I performed three sets that night: 1 with Mandy Moorehol, 1 set of The 50X50's, and 1 with the album tracks with friends and guests.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I really just want to keep creating and exploring and trying out new things and new ways of expressing myself with this art. I want to continue to collaborate with others and do amazing things as a part of The 50X50's with Deto 22. I want to connect.
