Albums by Doug Sahm
Artist Biography
Since his days with the Sir Douglas Quintet in the '60s, Doug Sahm preached the gospel of Texas music traditions. He mastered everything from barrio Latin rock to Western swing to shuffle blues to doo wop to Cajun, yet his work always bore his distinctive stamp. He recorded a ton of albums with a wide array of sidemen and, regardless of the style, his laconic, reefer-headed vision always came through. Sahm died in 1999. ~ John Floyd
