About Lacrim
One of France's most successful rappers, Lacrim wields streetwise narratives that are set apart by his stern and gravelly voice. The Paris-born, Marseille-based rapper debuted in 2010, and within a few years signed with Def Jam France, leading to his commercial breakthrough with Corleone (2014). He would return to the top of the French album chart with Force & Honneur (2017) and Lacrim (2019), as well as with the first two volumes of the mixtape series R.I.P.R.O. Force & Honneur, released the year he launched the Plata O Plomo label, was a blockbuster, achieving triple-platinum status with the singles "Traîtres," "Grande Armée," and "Colonel Carrillo" all reaching number two on the French pop chart. His generally slicker and more cinematic projects in the 2020s, highlighted by Persona Non Grata (2021) and Veni Vidi Vici (2024), and the chart-topping RIPRO (2025), have retained an air of menace.
