Artist Biography
Dan Tyminski's first break came when he joined contemporary bluegrassers the Lonesome River Band in the late 1980s, but he really stepped up to the big time when he became the guitarist for Alison Krauss & Union Station in 1994. He gained a kind of anonymous fame in 2001, as the singing voice for George Clooney's character in the film O BROTHER WHERE ART THOU?, in which he performed a rendition of “Man of Constant Sorrow” and started a major bluegrass revival almost single-handedly. Along the way, Tyminski managed to release a couple of solo albums, but he has remained a part of Union Station.
