Artist Biography
Named after the mythological Greek herald renowned for his powerful voice, Les Stentors are an operatic quartet who found fame covering classic French chansons in a classical pop style. Inspired by composers Mozart and Berlioz, the works of Jacques Brel and Charles Aznavour, and contemporary acts such as U2 and Björk, baritones Vyanney Guyonnet and Sebastien Lemoine and tenors Mathieu Sempéré and Mowgli Laps came together in 2010. After releasing a self-titled debut album in Switzerland in the same year, they topped the charts in their homeland in 2012 with their follow-up, Voyage en France, a collection of regional French songs including Pierre Bachelet's "Les Corons" and I Muvrini's "A Voce Rivolta."
