Though they're based in Switzerland, Deathrope are a band fascinated with American music and culture, playing a hot-wired variety of roots rock (incorporating blues, country, and hard rock) focusing on the darker side of life they call "Rock Noir." Deathrope feature Nathan Denyle on vocals, guitar, and mandolin; Luke O'Matic on guitar; Richland K. Harper on bass; and Seimen Guzman on drums. The group started playing out in 2009, initially focusing on gigs in their hometown of Zürich. That same year, Deathrope made their recording debut with the six-song EP Bloody Tales. Their first full-length album, Hang 'Em High, followed in 2010. Deathrope boosted their touring schedule, traveling across Europe with their music, and after a recording layoff, they brought out their second album, Go!, in 2014. Three years later, Deathrope dropped their third album, Love Hz, produced by David Langhard. ~ Mark Deming
