Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At 15, I performed Paganini’s Violin Concerto No.2 “La Campanella” and the Sonata for Grand Viola in the same concert. Holding both instruments, I felt overwhelming pride and excitement—my first true moment as a violinist and violist.

David Oistrakh, David Oistrakh: The Great Recordings Marco Misciagna, Agustín Barrios Mangoré: Compositions Arranged for Viola Solo by Marco Misciagna Yuri Bashmet, Yuri Bashmet - The Complete RCA Recordings I chose my Barrios album because it reflects my passion for exploring rare viola repertoire. Oistrakh’s recordings taught me musical phrasing and expression, while Bashmet’s artistry inspires my technique and interpretation every day.
