In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I remember, when I was a kid in the 80s, we would usually listen to country music in the car, and my dad was a big fan of outlaw country. I've been influenced by so many artists and genres, but that has always been the cornerstone.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Bruce Springsteen, Nebraska
The Rolling Stones, Exile On Main Street (2010 Remaster)
Tom Waits, Rain Dogs (2023 Remaster)
Exile on Main Street is an album I have to listen to in its entirety. I think Tom Waits has 2 perfect albums, and it's hard to decide between them, but I'm picking Rain Dogs. Nebraska is a direct influence in the acoustic-driven music I've recorded.

“My Self”
I lost my dad in 2016. One afternoon in 2024, I was thinking about him. That got this song started. I get stuck in my head often, and this song is about the importance of having somebody else to listen to, rather than your own self-criticism.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
There have been so many, but in August of 2026 one of my songs, "When I Get Old," was played on my favorite Chicago radio station, WXRT. That was a pretty special experience for me.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I don't have bucket list. I'm grateful that I have the ability to write songs and play them, and I'm grateful that venues keep booking me to perform them live. If teenage me could see me now, I think he'd think I was doing alright.
