Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
Some of my earliest memories aren't tied to one song or moment. I just remember music always being on. It became my safe place, giving me somewhere to disappear into, imagine, and eventually find my own voice.

Each album found me when I needed it most. *Grace* album helped me heal after an accident, the Indigo Girls inspired me to write, and *The Devil I Know* Ashley McBryde, reminded me what it feels like to live life from behind the microphone.

*From Me, to You* means the world to me because I wrote it with my husband. The lyrics grew from a poem he wrote for me, and turning those words into a song together made it one of the most personal pieces I've ever recorded.
