About Tig Notaro
Artist Biography
Tig Notaro is a writer, actress, podcast host, and most notably, a standup comedian recognized for a dry, deliberately paced style that combines absurdity, physical comedy, and candidly personal subject matter. She released her first comedy album, Good One, in 2011. Her unplanned second album, Live, captured an improvised show that followed her cancer diagnosis by mere days and led to her first Grammy nomination. She later starred in the semi-autobiographical series One Mississippi (2015-2017) and had a recurring role on Star Trek: Discovery while recording new standup specials including 2015's Emmy- and Grammy-nominated Boyish Girl Interrupted and 2021's Drawn, which was fully animated. Her sixth standup special, 2024's Hello Again, included familiar topics like health challenges, celebrity encounters, and home life, all spun through her awkward experiences.
