Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember being five years old and dancing in bright blue jeans. It was early summer, in my grandmother's garden, and I was dancing to the Russian high-energy band Car-Men to a song which can be translated as "Everything is calm in Baghdad"
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Japan, Tin Drum (2003 Remaster) 2003 Remastered Morphine, Cure for Pain Звуки Му, Транснадёжность These LPs influenced my music the most. Although all are from different countries, they share the same mood and desire to break through the fabric of pop and rock music. They are too serious at times, but in a funny way, like a puppy's muzzle.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Пешком” It's the very first song I ever wrote just for this LP. And it's often at the top of the listens. It was the first time I wasn't trying to please anyone or fit in anywhere. Totally minimal set-up: Roland 505, looper, bass, voice. Let's go.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I really enjoy playing gigs. I'm not famous, I get it, and I accept it. But every time someone comes up to me and says: wow, man, that was awesome! I get all emotional.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? 1. Release my new album and get a million people to listen to it. And hopefully, at least one to get it. 2. Play at every festival and an underground hole I can lay my eyes on. 3. A review from the Wire
