Canadian-Belgian singer-songwriter and actress Lara Fabian has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide.
∙ After spotting her musical talent, Fabian’s parents enrolled her in the Royal Conservatory of Brussels at age eight.
∙ At age 18, she represented Luxembourg at the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest, where she sang the soaring, operatic ballad “Croire” and earned fourth place—behind winner Celine Dion.
∙ Fabian’s self-titled 1999 English-language debut featured the chart-topping dance-pop smash “I Will Love Again.”
∙ She voiced Esmeralda in the French-Canadian release of Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and the English-language soundtrack featured her version of “God Help the Outcasts.”
