About El Bebeto
After his father died, Mexican singer El Bebeto nearly quit music, but he eventually decided to follow his dreams and record his debut album, 2011’s Quiero Que Seas Tú.
∙ El Bebeto sang on “Inténtalo,” a surprise hit from electro-cumbia outfit 3BallMTY that went to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart.
∙ In 2014, he scored a No. 1 hit of his own in Mexico with “No Te Creas Tan Importante,” from his album En Tu Mirada.
∙ Having tried his hand at cumbia, banda, ranchero, and other regional Mexican music, in 2015 he dove into mariachi with Eternamente Mexicano.
∙ His catalog includes several songs penned by Mexican singer Espinoza Paz, who wrote and produced El Bebeto’s 2019 album, Mi Persona Preferida.
∙ Mi Persona Preferida spawned the multi-Platinum single “Seremos” and received a 2019 Latin Grammy nomination for Best Ranchero Album.
∙ He kicked off 2020 as a contestant on the TV show Mira Quién Baila, the Latin American version of Dancing with the Stars.
