About Philippe Brach
Artist Biography
Canadian singer/songwriter Philippe Brach pairs heartfelt and forthright lyrics with folk-tinged chamber pop. Emerging in 2012, the Saguenay, Quebec native issued his Prix Félix-winning debut album, Foire et Lordre, in 2014. He earned commercial and critical acclaim after the release of his sophomore long-player Portraits de Famine, which included the hit single "Crystel," and for 2017's Francophone Juno Award-shortlisted Silence des troupeaux. 2023's Les gens qu’on aime saw Brach deliver a lush and orchestral set of songs peppered with his trademark wit and winking cynicism.
