Artist Biography
Rock band Circa Survive’s debut album, Juturna, was named after the Roman goddess of fountains, springs, and wells.
∙ The band cites Nirvana, Deftones, Paul Simon, Björk, Tame Impala, and Radiohead among their musical influences.
∙ Rhythm guitarist Colin Frangicetto is also an accomplished fine artist, with solo gallery exhibitions in Portland, San Francisco, and Philadelphia.
∙ In the midst of recording Blue Sky Noise, their most successful album, frontman Anthony Green checked himself into a mental health facility for his bipolar disorder and substance abuse.
∙ Their song “Get Out” was featured in the video game Tony Hawk: Shred, as well as an episode of the TV series Pretty Little Liars.
∙ During a 2017 gig, after witnessing a fan being sexually harassed, guitarist Brendan Ekstrom stopped the show, walked off the stage, and helped security usher the fan to safety.
