Artist Biography
This mysterious US pop metal quartet first assembled in San Francisco in 1975, with its members employing strange pseudonyms (their original choice of name was Ratz). Featuring Dane Bramage (vocals, bass, keyboards), Brad Billion (guitar, vocals), Arnie Baddie (guitar, vocals) and Pinky Chablis (drums), their music paid homage to Cheap Trick, Kansas and REO Speedwagon. Produced by Jeff Glixman, Blind Date, released in 1979, actually comprised songs written four years previously. The instrumental ‘Twin Engines’ gained a degree of fame after being used as a theme tune to a European radio rock show. The band faded back into obscurity after the album’s release, despite signing with the Regency Records label.
