Heaviness and hooks go hand in hand for the Tennessee band.
Artist Biography
The rock band 10 Years started out playing heavy metal songs with screamer vocals, but they shifted to a melodic, Tool-influenced sound behind new lead singer Jesse Hasek in 2001.
∙ Their single “Wasteland” topped Billboard’s Active Rock chart a year after its release.
∙ Hasek intended to disband 10 Years before he persuaded departed founding members Brian Vodinh and Matt Wantland to rejoin him for 2015’s (how to live) AS GHOSTS.
∙ On the deluxe edition of (how to live) AS GHOSTS, the band covered Nirvana’s “Heart-Shaped Box” and R.E.M.’s “Losing My Religion.”
∙ Formed as an outlet for Vodinh’s heavier material, Brave the Royals released their debut album, Abstraction, in 2019.
