Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad took me to see Weird Al on the "Eat It" tour (1984). Because it was my first concert, I didn't know that you saved your biggest hit for the end. I got more and more panicked that Weird Al was forgetting to play Eat It. Finally he played it.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Elvis Costello & The Attractions, Armed Forces Remastered 2020 Kate & Anna McGarrigle, Tell My Sister (Remastered) The Velvet Underground, Loaded (Remastered) All three artists have all been massively influential on me as a songwriter. They use a mix of humor and anger that I've loved since I was a teenager. Also, the Attractions' aesthetic (especially Bruce Thomas on bass) is a big part of our sound.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Swallow You Up” One of my fave Baby Teeth singles. It's got real darkness to it, and yet it's very catchy too. I've always loved that combo, a la the Beatles' "Help". Not that I'm saying we're the Beatles. I'm not going full Liam Gallagher (yet).
