About Summer Cannibals
Formed in Portland, Oregon by singer/guitarist Jessica Boudreaux, Summer Cannibals are a no-frills rock & roll outfit befitting the Patti Smith song from which they take their name. Summer Cannibals made their album debut in 2013 with No Makeup, a lo-fi mix of fuzzy garage pop and riffy punk-influenced rock. For their follow-up, they hired respected Portland engineer Larry Crane and recorded 2015's Show Us Your Mind. After two solid releases and countless tours, they signed with famed Northwest indie Kill Rock Stars. By this point, Boudreaux had shuffled through a handful of lineups, finally landing on a trio format that included bassist Jenny Logan and drummer Devon Shirley. Summer Cannibals' third LP, Full of It, was released in 2016. ~ Timothy Monger
