About KATO
One of seven children, Flemish singer/pianist Kato Callebaut was born in Leuven in 1991 and began performing at the age of six, eventually competing at the prestigious Humo's Rock Rally contest as a teenager. In 2011, Kato's ukulele-led audition performance of Eliza Doolittle's "Pack Up" sent her on her way to a second-place finish in the Belgian version of Pop Idol. After scoring a number one with the rest of the finalists on "More to Me," she scored hits of her own with "The Joker" and a cover version of Robyn's "Dancing on My Own" before releasing her debut album, Flamingo. ~ Jon O'Brien
