Takako Matsu is a popular film and TV actress and J-pop singer-songwriter.
∙ Known for her roles in Japanese TV dramas, Matsu starred in her first movie, Tokyo Biyori, in 1997—earning a Hochi Film Award for Best New Actress.
∙ She followed the success of her debut album, 1997’s Platinum-certified Sora No Kagami, with a Best New Artist of the Year win at the Japan Gold Disc Awards.
∙ Eight of her nine studio albums have reached the Top 10 in Japan, and all 22 of her singles have made the Top 40, beginning with her Platinum debut, 1997’s “Ashita Harugakitara.”
