Tego Calderón is a Puerto Rican hip-hop and reggaetón artist who is also known for his role in the Fast & Furious franchise.
∙ At the 2004 ASCAP Latin Music Awards, he won Hip-Hop/Rap/Reggaetón Song of the Year honors for his track “Al Natural.”
∙ Calderón and fellow Puerto Rican reggaetón star Don Omar collaborated on 2005’s global hit “Bandoleros,” which was featured on the soundtrack for The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
∙ “Quitarte ’To,” which was cowritten by and features Jowell & Randy’s Randy Ortiz, reached No. 10 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart in 2007.
∙ Two of his albums—2006’s The Underdog - El Subestimado and 2007’s El Abayarde: Contra-Ataca—were nominated for Grammy Awards.
∙ El Que Sabe, Sabe topped Billboard’s Latin Rhythm Albums chart in 2015 and won a Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Music Album.
