Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories was in the 5th grade when I got to try all the different band and orchestra instruments to determine which one was going to be mine. I ended up with the clarinet, and eventually moved to bass clarinet and contra.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Explosions In the Sky, The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place Various Artists, Garden State (Music from the Motion Picture) blink-182, Take off Your Pants and Jacket All of these I have listened to incessantly at one point or another. Blink-182 I listened to it during my formative middle school years, although later I matured to a Garden State sound. Explosions are just the best, and everyone needs more of them.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Every Day's Not Same (feat. Tobi Wats)” This song started with a 90-second guitar recording where God figuratively took Gadfly's hand and said 'You're not going to mess this one up.', but became a true song when Tobi and Eli added their unique and inspiring vocals, mixed like a pro by Dom.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One time I was close to walking away from music altogether when I was washing dishes listening to the album over a speaker when the chef asked who I was listening to. When I told her it was my band she asked me why I didn't do that for a living. 🤔
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My music career is still in its infancy. 'We Shall Prevail' is a collection that I don't think will ever be able to be duplicated, but I look forward to creating new sounds with my sources of freestyle lyricists to go with my improv guitar abilities.
