I was six when my dad gave me my first ever CD: Alison Krauss: Now that I’ve found you. We listened to it in the car and sang her words together. Her voice and soul captivated my little heart. I choreographed dances and wrote poems to her music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Laura Marling, Song For Our Daughter
This album arrived in the early days of the pandemic. I have long admired Laura's work, and her storytelling on this body of work resonated with me in a profound and personal way. “Space”
I wrote this song after spending time a part from the person I love the most. It feels, to me, so relatable in many ways because, certainly by now, we all know what it is like to feel far away from someone we love. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Having the opportunity to perform and work alongside some of my personal heroes, like Marketa Irglova, Glen Hansard, and Ben Folds, has been nothing short of dreams come true. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
My hope is that I continue making music that deepens connections and inspires reflection. After a decade of working as a songwriter, that remains the most gratifying part of what I do.
