About Stu Allan
Stu Allan was a British producer and disc jockey who seemed to know what time it was when it came to cover versions. He and associate Peter Pritchard were the creative minds behind Clock, a group who did extremely well on the disco and techno markets with a 1995 house version of the instrumental "Axel F.," associated with Eddie Murphy and the Beverly Hills Cop series, followed two years hence by a reworking of Hot Chocolate's "You Sexy Thing." Stu Allan died on September 22, 2022, while in treatment for a rare form of stomach cancer; he was 60 years of age. ~ Eugene Chadbourne
