Formerly a trio, the Electronic production duo Autograf expertly toe the line between dance music and uplifting electronic soundscapes.
• Before Autograf’s inception, two of the trio’s founding members, Mikul Wing and Louis Kha, performed as the Chicago dubstep duo Midnight Conspiracy, which drew large crowds with their massive eye-shaped LED live setup.
• Jake Carpenter entered the fold after impressing Kha and Wing with his skills as a sculptor and painter. The trio’s rich artistic backgrounds factored heavily into their multimedia performances.
• Autograf released their debut single, “Dream,” in 2015.
• They teamed up with fellow futuristic house producer SNBRN and singer KOLE for 2018’s “Move All Night,” a major streaming hit.
• The group’s 2019 EP Love & Retrograde followed a period of intense challenges for the group, including mental health struggles that kept Carpenter from touring.
• Following Carpenter’s departure, Wing and Kha released their 2020 debut album, The Ace of You. More than five years in the making, the LP showcases the group’s more dance-pop–oriented stylings.
