Artist Biography
Alexei Grynyuk is known for his work in virtuoso repertory but also performs often as a chamber musician and accompanist. Partly trained in Britain, he has enjoyed a career of international scope. In 2013, Grynyuk made his debut album, backing cellist Leonard Elschenbroich on an album of music by Shostakovich and Rachmaninov. Grynyuk has often played chamber music, joining Elschenbroich and violinist Nicola Benedetti in a piano trio. His repertory extends from the Classical period to the 20th century. Grynyuk recorded Liszt's Piano Sonata in B minor in 2013 and has made several more recordings with Elschenbroich, including Brahms Analogue in 2022.
