About Susanna Hoffs
A singer and songwriter with a sweet and soulful voice, Susanna Hoffs crafts accessibly artful pop music that melds folk-rock and sunny psychedelic influences with alternative rock cleverness. Hoffs catapulted to stardom in the 1980s as part of the Bangles, who rose from Los Angeles' paisley underground and into the Top 40 with "Manic Monday," a song Prince donated to the group. She launched a solo career with 1991's When You're a Boy, and after 1996's Susanna Hoffs she took part in Bangles reunion projects and recorded three Under the Covers albums with Matthew Sweet. By the 2020s, Hoffs had resumed a solo career with 2021's Bright Lights and 2023's The Deep End, two LPs where she covered some of her favorite songwriters. 2026's The List was a set of original songs inspired by the men she loved, past and present.
Susanna Hoffs has also released music as a member of The Bangles.
