Canadian electronic producer Tep No likes to keep it all about the music. A cloud of mystery surrounds his background and personal life.
• Tep No learned to play the drums when he was 12, followed by guitar soon after. But he pursued a career in acting before deciding to focus on music.
• The name Tep No is a play on “techno.”
• His melodic, summer-ready house productions employ a wide range of instruments, most prominently plucky acoustic guitar.
• BBC DJ Pete Tong premiered Tep No’s vapory 2015 song “The Last Ones Standing” on his renowned radio show. Fashion designer Michael Kors adopted the track for a marketing campaign soon after.
